Please take part in Project VIDA’s Toiletries Drive. Each week Project VIDA’s Food Pantry serves over 50 individuals and their families and receives requests for basic needs toiletries.  Now, the demand has outweighed the supply and we need your help. This is a very easy way to participate in your community: just purchase a couple of extra items to donate when you are doing your own shopping. You may even have received Christmas gifts that you would rather pass on like perfume/ cologne or make up.  Once the items have been donated they will be sorted and volunteers will distribute whatever we have to our food pantry clients on Wednesdays during our food pantry hours.
                                      Items needed:
                                      Toothbrush/Toothpaste
                                      Combs/ Hairbrush
                                      Mouthwash/Dental Floss
                                      Toilet paper
                                      Shampoo/Conditioner
                                      Detergent
                                      Bar soap/Body wash
                                      Laundry soap boxes
                                      Lotion or hand cream
                                      Disposable razors/ Shaving cream
                                      Deodorant

THANK YOU ALMA!  The Association of Latino Men for Action (ALMA http://www.almachicago.org) organized a fun event at The Call in Andersonville on Friday, November 4th.  The event included several Project VIDA staff members, volunteers, past employees, and supporters, as well as ALMA's team.    An exciting and entertaining show featured performers from Project VIDA's family.  Our Food Pantry program received 150 items as a result of this donation.  Thanks again to all who came out, and especially to ALMA for supporting us!
