3rd Annual Community Health Festival 06/21/2011
In our efforts to continue to improve the quality of life of our Little Village residents, Project VIDA is pleased to announce our third annual Community Health Festival in Little Village. Saturday, July 30th, 2011 12 PM – 4 PM 27th Street between Karlov Avenue and Kedvale Avenue This annual event is designed to celebrate life and awareness of multiple health issues that are affecting our community. We will be providing: free HIV/STI testing; pregnancy testing; screenings for high blood pressure, needle exchange, diabetes, eye exams, and asthma. Collaborative Dance Entertainment presents the 1st Annual Windy City National Steppers' Congress taking place in Chicago. Thursday June 30th through Sunday July 3rd, 2011 UIC Forum at 725 West Roosevelt Road, Chicago, IL. Live performances include Larry Harlow; Angel Melendez & Mambo 911 Orchestra; Meñique; Chante Moore; Ray, Goodman and Brown; and the Stylistics. Over 20 DJs will also be spinning live and there will be more than 60 workshops taught by over 20 instructors. Proceeds will benefit the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and Project VIDA.
